Courses

Alexandra Frost is developing four evidence-based online courses: two for performing artists and two for medical professionals. Each stands independently and can also be taken in sequence. Working with Performance Anxiety: Essential Skills for Performing Artists and The Attuned Performer are for performing artists. Working with Performance Anxiety: Essential Skills for Medical Professionals and The Attuned Doctor are for medical professionals preparing for fellowship exams. All four are built on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, somatic regulation, and performance psychology research. Courses are expected to launch in 2027.

What courses are available?

Four courses are in development, two for performing artists and two for medical professionals. Each is a complete, standalone program in its own right, and each can also lead into the other for anyone wanting to go further.

Do I need to start with the mini course before the signature course?

No. Each course is designed to stand on its own. Some people start with the shorter course and move to the fuller one later, others go straight to the signature course, and some only need what the shorter course covers. Choose based on what you need, not a required order.

What’s included?

Video lessons and workbooks for every module, guided audio recorded in my own voice, live group sessions, and a personalised, tested protocol for your specific performance or exam context.

Our two course offerings

Working with Performance Anxiety: Essential Skills for Performing Artists

A 4-lesson foundation course, around 30 minutes each, giving you a complete toolkit for understanding and working with performance anxiety.

It covers understanding your own performance anxiety pattern, body-based and thought-based tools for managing activation, acceptance and values work, and building your own pre-performance protocol.

The Attuned Performer

Performance Psychology to Help You Perform to Your True Potential

An 8-module program for performing artists who want to go beyond managing anxiety and build genuine peak performance skills.

It covers deeper somatic and nervous-system regulation work, the full acceptance and commitment toolkit, values-based exposure work, audition preparation and mental rehearsal, effective practice, and the longer-term work of flow, recovery and a sustainable creative career, including a dedicated section for neurodivergent performers.

Working with Performance Anxiety: Essential Skills for Medical Professionals

A 4-lesson foundation course, around 30 minutes each, adapted for exam and evaluation contexts.

It covers why clinical competence doesn’t automatically protect against exam anxiety, discreet regulation tools suited to exam rooms and vivas, acceptance and values work connected to your professional identity, and building your own exam-day protocol.

The Attuned Doctor

Performance Psychology to Help You Perform to Your True Potential

An 8-module program for doctors preparing for fellowship or specialist examinations, addressing the gap between clinical competence and exam performance.

It includes discreet somatic tools, the full acceptance and commitment toolkit for exam-specific thought patterns, values and professional identity work, format-specific preparation across written exams, OSCEs, long cases and vivas, and a dedicated module on exam failure, resilience and the longer game, including a dedicated section for neurodivergent doctors.

Is there a course for other high-stakes professionals, like lawyers or executives?

Not yet as a dedicated course.

A third pathway for this wider group may be developed in future, and in the meantime the underlying psychology, working with activation rather than against it, managing evaluation anxiety, recovering from a setback, applies just as directly.

If you’re a lawyer, executive or other high-stakes professional, 1:1 sessions are the best way to access this work now.
