Alexandra Frost works with performing artists and the people who train and support them, doctors and other high-stakes professionals preparing for evaluated performance, organisations building psychological expertise into how they support their people, and health and education professionals referring someone into this work. She brings close to 30 years’ clinical experience across the performing arts and high-stakes professional sectors, beginning with Master’s research into musical performance anxiety in 1997.
Who is this for?
Performance pressure doesn’t look the same for everyone, but underneath it, it’s often the same nervous system doing the same thing: responding to something that genuinely matters. Whether that shows up before you walk on stage, into an exam room, or into a boardroom, the experience has more in common than it might first appear.
The people who find their way here come from very different worlds. Some are performers and creatives, and the people who train, direct and support them. Others are doctors, lawyers, executives and professionals whose credibility rests on how they perform when it counts. Some are leading organisations and teams who want that kind of expertise built into how they support their people. And some are here because a GP, psychiatrist, agent or teacher thought this work might help someone they care about.
You don’t need to fit neatly into one category before reading further. Many people recognise themselves across more than one of these groups, and that’s fine, the work adapts to your situation rather than the other way around.

Who do you work with?
What kind of support is available?
- 1:1 sessions — for a specific audition or season, or something that’s been building for years
- Online courses (in development), including:
- Mini Course: Working with Performance Anxiety: Essential Skills for Performing Artists
- Signature Course: The Attuned Performer: Performance Psychology to Help You Perform to Your True Potential
- Workshops — for schools, conservatoires, companies and studios
- Attuned Collective — the multidisciplinary arts wellbeing community I founded
Is this just for performance anxiety, or does it go deeper if needed?
Both.
Being a registered Clinical Psychologist as well as a performer means I can work narrowly on a pre-audition protocol, or go deeper into identity, burnout, career transitions or trauma, without you needing a different practitioner if it turns out to be more than performance anxiety alone.
